We are manually labelling ICA components as signal or noise in order to train FIX to be used on later subjects.Given that we are only interested in separating signal from noise, what's the difference between classifying noise components as specific types of noise (e.g. motion, sinus, etc.) vs. classifying all noise as "unspecified noise"? Does the use of specific labels improve the classifier performance? or is it only used for our interpretation of the components and does not affect the classifier training?
Thanks!!
