I am amazed to hear that so many people, from all walks of life, are convinced already that taking back control of our future and not leaving it to be decided by the rest of Europe, will be detrimental. "Independence, Freedom." Not even the government knows how it's going to work in practise yet.

Things are almost certainly going to change, but it does not mean for the better or for the worse. Some things lost could result in some things gained. ¡Que será, será!Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/ghei36>________________________________From: ESOL-Research discussion forum and message board <[log in to unmask]> on behalf of Samuel Hyman <[log in to unmask]>Sent: Thursday, December 6, 2018 4:31:04 PMSubject: Re: The Impact of Brexit on EFLNobody knows what's going to happen?!Perhaps it's best to read that Article 50 you keep hearing about. It's less than one side of A4...only 5 paragraphs.Paragraph 3 states the treaties shall cease to apply. People need to realise this means it will affect all industries including the EFL one. What we don't know is which direction the government will take us - without a WA or remain in the EU. What we do know is that leaving will be catastrophic to the UK, and to stay on topic, will affect the EFL industry too.Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/ghei36>________________________________From: ESOL-Research discussion forum and message board <[log in to unmask]> on behalf of kulwant Jheeta <[log in to unmask]>Sent: Thursday, December 6, 2018 11:40:07 AMSubject: Re: The Impact of Brexit on EFLWow! Some of our EFL classes are under threat as a result as this is our main market (not overseas students). The few au pairs who are here at present say it is because of the uncertainty over what will actually happen in March – they all know people who didn’t want to commit to a year abroad in the UK if the rules were going to change halfway through, or if there was likely to be chaos.Anecdotally, many have gone to Ireland instead this year.LindaFrom: ESOL-Research discussion forum and message board <[log in to unmask]> On Behalf Of Laila El-MetouiSent: 06 December 2018 06:10Subject: Re: The Impact of Brexit on EFLIreland also has an EFL industry which might benefit from Brexit. It would depend on the cost of the visa and length of application process. No need to worry just yetNo one knows what’s going on or what will happen. As a French national, I’ve been in london for 29 years now, I’m waiting to see what will actually happen before worrying. It keeps on changing so let’s wait , continue to campaign, lobby and pressurise the government and hope for a positive outcome 🤞🏽Laila El-MetouiLGBT Education Consultant & Teacher Educatorhttps://lelmeducation.wordpress.com<https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flelmeducation.wordpress.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C035d481b66a347e9810408d65b4172aa%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636796733991181389&sdata=SNQTzwTDVVkBW2CU9CKK%2Bg4hJncf5c8jswFmOyXP6d0%3D&reserved=0>Member of Action for ESOL http://actionforesol.org/<https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Factionforesol.org%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C035d481b66a347e9810408d65b4172aa%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636796733991181389&sdata=XmfGxIm4b9PznifsS3TiQ7Wv9oW76mNu15zyFdhUo1k%3D&reserved=0> and NATECLA London https://nateclaldn.wordpress.com<https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnateclaldn.wordpress.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C035d481b66a347e9810408d65b4172aa%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636796733991181389&sdata=fOYy8zVc7zOUSdKKnyJ%2F%2Fk5hwm2zY%2BkyH3uTTMfAoqs%3D&reserved=0>Supporter The Ruth Hayman Trust http://www.ruthhaymantrust.org.uk<https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ruthhaymantrust.org.uk%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C035d481b66a347e9810408d65b4172aa%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636796733991181389&sdata=%2B6INq9vRtMqgvSX5g1y3snO2Cm71L790RVoX14nHjuc%3D&reserved=0>Sent from iPhoneif any visa requirement will be introduced then it may discourage a good number of Europeans to come to the UK for studying English.
