This is just a friendly reminder that the current recruitment drive for new
Indicators Advisory Committee members is due to end by *5pm* on *Friday
14th December*. Please see below for details of the post.

*NICE is looking for professionals to work with us to develop indicators
which will be used to drive quality improvement across health and social
care. This is an excellent opportunity to work with NICE as a member of
high performing national multidisciplinary advisory committee.*



*We are seeking to appoint the following members to our Indicator Advisory
Committee:*

   - *GP x 2 - We would welcome applications from GPs at the early stages
   of their career*
   - *Practice Nurse*
   - *Commissioner / Senior NHS Manager*
   - *Measurement Expert*

*The NICE Indicator Advisory Committee

is a multidisciplinary group that works with NICE to develop indicators for
a range of purposes including for potential use in the Quality and Outcomes
Framework (QOF) and other national measurement frameworks including the CCG
Outcomes Indicator Set (CCG OIS). *
*About NICE*

*NICE’s aim is to improve outcomes for people who use the NHS and other
public health and social care services. We do this by:*

   - *Producing evidence-based guidance and advice for health, public
   health and social care practitioners. *
   - *Developing quality standards and performance metrics for those
   providing and commissioning health, public health and social care services.
   *
   - *Providing a range of information services for commissioners,
   practitioners and managers across health and social care. *



*About the role*

*The committee membership includes a diverse range of professionals
including GPs, hospital consultants, nurses, practice manager, lay members,
academics, senior NHS managers, public health and social care
professionals. The committee has a diverse work programme potentially
covering the breadth of NICE’s outputs.*

*We are looking for individuals with both an interest in measurement and
are comfortable working across a range of topics.*

*Members do not represent particular organisations, but are recruited as
individual members with specific expertise and interests.*

*Meetings are held in central Manchester. The time commitment for
face-to-face meetings is approximately 6 days per year, committee members
are expected to read papers in advance of the meeting and work outside of
the meetings to providing expert advice to the NICE team.*

   - *Thursday 14 March 2019*
   - *Tuesday 4 June 2019*
   - *Wednesday 5 June 2019*
   - *Thursday 12 September 2019*
   - *Wednesday 4 December 2019*
