While it is
impossible to completely prevent the spread of colds and sickness bugs, there
are steps therefore that ‘X’ could take to reduce the chances of becoming
infected with a virus, as mentioned for example regular hand cleansing is
probably the single best measure to prevent transmission; after shopping or
spending time in public places, hand cleansing is critical as it can destroy
viruses acquired from touching surfaces used by other people. Unless hands are
visibly soiled the best approach is to use an alcohol sanitising gel, or now
preferably an alcohol sanitising foam. Furthermore, is essential is that people use a moisturising lotion
(sparingly) each time the hands are washed. Well-conditioned skin will actually
help prevent germs to multiply and thus help to prevent infection.
In addition to the above encouraging good hygiene within the
workplace, disposal of tissues, workers having their own mugs or proper
dishwashing facilities, may help also.

Can anyone advise on the availability of free posters/leaflets for seasonal colds and flu. Reminders of simple hygiene in the workplace /catch it, kill it, bin it etc. and perhaps the importance of handwashing, use of gel cleansers etc.
Kind regards,
