A handy software called “Snipping Tool” may do the trick - it’s just like a pair of scissors.

I did something similar before, converting AQA past paper from PDF into word. But it lost the original layout, also lost all pictures. It is a big project to rearrange the layout and pictures for one set of exam paper. So I ended up using the tranditional scissors and glue.

I really hope AQA can do something to help us.

Hi all,
I have dragged lots of past paper exams questions out of the mega database of PDF past papers I have going back years - regardless of being from the legacy GCSE, they are useful, and a quick look through will reveal their level.

If only there were more time in the day. Judith has mentioned that, currently, AQA Chinese GCSE is too small to warrant creation of exampro, however, as more people use AQA GCSE, and more papers are sat each year, this is likely to be developed. No telling when this will happen unfortunately.

Hi James and everyone

I know Spanish and other European language use exampro which helps to genrate hundreds of exam paper using question bank. But exampro doesn't have Mandarin. Do you think you or anyone in the forum will be interested in doing similar work like that?

Hi helen,

This is something that I will be attempting, along with Lin Liu to do around January time. We spoke to Judith Rowland, and she said that, unfortunately, they will not be adding any more samples papers this year.

She suggested using the French/Spanish samples and translating them for Chinese.

I think this will be mine and Lin’s starting point, although I’m not sure we will be able to use all of them.

Thanks.

Dear Colleagues,

How have you gone about creating mock exams for the four papers this year?  I used the sample materials last year, and have not been able to find any further specimen papers on the AQA website.  Has anyone created their own?  If so, would you be willing to share?

Apologies if someone has already covered this topic in a previous post – I have been unable to access the forum for a while.

Kind regards,

Helen Lewis
