The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP; www.alpsp.org<http://www.alpsp.org>) is seeking a Marketing Executive to join its friendly, home-based team. With some 300 members in 30 countries, ALPSP is a leading international trade body for not-for-profit organizations and institutions that publish scholarly and professional content; it connects, informs, develops and represents the scholarly publishing community. The Marketing Executive is responsible for the promotion of all ALPSP activities, and promotion of ALPSP to members, prospective members and the wider industry. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely day-to-day with the Membership Manager and the Professional Development Manager and her team, your key responsibilities will be the digital marketing of our training courses, seminars, webinars and annual conference, alongside campaigns to promote ALPSP to new members, and to increase the engagement of existing members with our activities. You will already be familiar with all aspects of email marketing, including MailChimp or similar programs, and will also have a good understanding of, and practical experience with social media, especially Twitter and LinkedIn. You will have experience of creating successful digital marketing campaigns with excellent open and click-through rates, and ideally will also have some knowledge of Google Analytics. You are likely to be working in a marketing role in academic publishing or in events, either in a professional membership organization or in the commercial sector. You will be a confident communicator and excellent team player, keen to apply your knowledge and skills for the benefit of a leading scholarly publishing association. We offer a full-time salary of £27k, plus pension, office and travel expenses and other benefits, and we are also willing to consider candidates who are only able to work part time for approximately four days a week.
