Postdoctoral position in Cognitive / Affective Neuroscience

For a collaboration between Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany) and Donders Institute in Nijmegen (the Netherlands), we invite applications for a three-year postdoctoral fellow position. This position is funded by an Open Research Area grant from the German Research Foundation and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research.

Stressful and emotionally arousing experiences activate hormonal and brain systems that create strong memories. It remains unclear, however, how this strengthening affects the quality of such memories. This project is an interdisciplinary and translational team effort that will conduct human behavioral, pharmacological and neuroimaging studies in combination with mechanistic studies in rodents.

The postdoctoral fellow will perform pharmacological functional-MRI studies involving sophisticated univariate and multivariate analyses of functional neuroimaging data. He or she will be jointly supervised by Oliver Wolf and Erno Hermans, and would work predominantly at Donders Institute in Nijmegen. See https://tinyurl.com/y87nzcbc for details.
