Archives Revealed awards new Scoping Grants

Archives Revealed has announced the recipients of the second round of grants in the Scoping Grants programme. The scheme, which is supported by The National Archives, The Pilgrim Trust, the Wolfson Foundation and the Foyle Foundation, has awarded a maximum of £3,000 to four archives across the UK.

Kate Wheeler, Head of Programmes and Policy at the National Archives said:
'We are delighted to be supporting another four organisations who will use our funding to achieve improvements in accessing and understanding their collections. The fascinating collections that have been awarded funding offer an exciting contribution to future research and engagement with archive collections."

The successful applicants are:

·         The Musical Museum - musical carriers collection of perforated paper musical rolls

·         The Association of Ukrainian Women in Great Britain (AUW) - paper archives, photographs and born digital records relating to this community organisation

·         Richard Burton Archives  - business archives of the Vale (Europe) Ltd, Clydach Nickel Refinery at the Mond

·         Cheltenham Literature Festivals Archive - tape recordings of events, event programmes and literary design work
