Our second monthly research seminar takes place this week. It is free, and open to everyone*.
On Thursday 15th November at 6pm in the Old Vicarage (red ‘20’ on the attached campus map – free parking available), Jenny-Anne Bishop OBE
will be talking about ‘The Nature of Gender and its Legal Status: Male, Female and Everything in Between’.
Few issues have divided feminist opinion quite so much in recent years as the government’s proposed changes to the 2004 Gender Recognition Act. In
her talk, Jenny-Anne Bishop OBE (The Unique Transgender Network /
TransForum Manchester) navigates this most polarising of debates.
Do share info about this talk with your friends and colleagues, and email me if you’ve any queries.
Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday.
All best wishes,
Emma.
