Dealing as we do in the business of measurement, I was interested to read about the redefinition of the SI base units. Notably the kilogram will no longer be defined by the mass of a lump of metal in Paris.

A consequence that falls out of this is that the molar mass constant will no longer be defined as
exactly 1 g/mol. The difference is reported to be of the order of 10exp-10.
Something to be aware of if you are weighing out pure material to produce in-house calibrators – and also reporting results to 10 significant figures…
