Hi Rosaleena,
if you already have fisher-z correlations maps, just input them into the SPM 2nd level t-test. Not sure how you got the spmT-maps and why you would want to convert them to correlations though.
I suggest you use the dpabi toolbox (
http://rfmri.org/dpabi). It will create the maps for you and you can use the statistical analysis tool to run the t-test.

Hello SPM users,
I am running two sample t-tests on SPM for group comparison using seed-based functional connectivity from resting fMRI data. I understand that typically we use con* images obtained at the first-level and feed them to the second-level analyses. However, I wish to test group differences based on Fisher z maps. So would it be right to convert spmT* images to a correlation (r) map at the first-level which can then be converted to Fisher z maps and fed into the second-level analyses?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Best,
Rosaleena
