The Royal Society of Chemistry’s report launch - Women’s retention and progression in the chemical sciences

Tuesday 6th November 2018, 5-9pm, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London

On behalf of the Royal Society of Chemistry, I have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the launch of our new research on Women’s retention and progression in the chemical sciences. The event will bring together key voices from across our community to discuss the findings of the report, our recommendations and commitments, and propose solutions to challenges and barriers that women face.

The meeting will begin at 5pm with an introduction from our President Professor Dame Carol Robinson DBE HonFRSC FRS, followed by an introduction to the report from members of our Inclusion and Diversity Committee.  The panel discussion will hear experiences and opinions from all panellists and then receive questions from the audience to debate how best to address the barriers outlined in the report and progress gender equality in the chemical sciences. The evening will conclude with an informal networking with refreshments.

The event is free to attend, but please register to reserve a place.

More information and registration for the event can be found here.

With kindest regards,

Pip
