Objet : Midwives requisites to work in a MLU

Dear all
I am a midwife lead of an alongside Birth centre in Florence (the Margherita
birth centre) and am currently working on revising a document that describes
the knowledge and skills of midwives required to work in a birth centre
The recent publication of the European standards from MUNet highlights the
need for this written document and indicates key points

I simply would like to know from you if you have any policy, document or
criteria adopted in your MLUs to share in support of the work I am doing

In particular besides skills That midwives need to have once working in a
MLU I am interested also in knowing whether you have some criteria you use
to identify the midwives that could work there (a sort or prerequisite to
some extent), as this is of interest also for a working group with our
national college of midwives some of us italiana are involved with

Thanks infinitely in advance for all your support and inputs
I look forward to knowing more from you

Regards
Laura Iannuzzi
