The Media Reform Coalition, which campaigns for a more accountable media system, has organised two events in October.

1. What is wrong with our Press and how can we fix it? Special meeting on the Cairncross Review into the future of journalism.6-8pm, Thursday 4 October, Room 153, Birkbeck, University of London, Malet Street,London

Panellists include: Michelle Stanistreet, NUJ General Secretary, Dr Martin Moore, Director of the Centre for the Study of Media, Communication and Power, Kings College London, Prof. Angela Phillips, Media Reform Coalition and Goldsmiths University of London, Kerry-Ann Mendoza, The Canary, Jim Cusick, Journalist. Chaired by Prof Natalie Fenton, Goldsmiths, University of London.
