I am very sorry to have to pass on the sad news that Prof Paul O’Brien CBE FRS passed away peacefully yesterday evening. 

Paul became seriously ill in January 2018, and despite a brave and endlessly optimistic struggle with this illness last night he lost.

If any of you have any messages you would like passed on to his family, I would be very happy so to do.
