Hi Tony,

An F-test would test any difference between groups with respect to the slopes. A contrast such as [1 1 1 0 0 0 ...] (no need to divide by 3, but it doesn't hurt either) will test the average slope across the tree groups, after discounting slope differences between groups. Both give valid answers. It depends really on the research question.

All the best,

Anderson

or is the overall effect of drug (independent of group) better modelled by an F2 for C1-3 (rather than a C7 with 0.333 0.333 0.333 for EV1-3)?
