Dear FSL experts,
I have run Feat with Melodic component analysis on a task-based fMRI paradigm. I used rules defined in previous publication to define noise (doi:10.1016/j.jneumeth.2010.03.028). I only removed components that seemed to be 100% noise thus leaving all components that I suspected partly could be related to any neural signal.
It has been discussed in our group whether this denoiseing method can/should be used in a task-based paradigm. The task in the paradigm is simply to look at images displayed on a screen. Contrasting painful images with not painful images which are separated by a fixation cross.
What is your view on this?
Olof
