Dear Elinor

I was also looking for this information a while ago.

The highest high resolution paper was with 2% DMSO of filament (microtubulin I think) and for a membrane protein was 0.1%.

I am trying now, 2% and 4% which reduces the contrast of the image. however, as long as you can see the particle I guess that it is OK.

Cheers

Hi all
What is the max conc. of DMSO you used on a grid?
Do you have any recommendation for other organic solvents that can be used for single particle cryo EM?
If so – what concentration did you use?
Thanks in advance
Elinor
