Marking 70 years since HMT Empire Windrush sailed to UK shores, primary school teachers of Key Stages 1 - 2 in south London are invited to a special seminar and reading of The Story of the Windrush at Park's Edge Bar & Kitchen.

Author of the newly-released children's book, K N Chimbiri will talk with teachers on bringing to life the Windrush story. Beautifully illustrated and aimed at ages 7+, The Story of the Windrush is ideal for younger readers who prefer facts to fiction. The book can be used to support teachers fulfilling the requirements of the National Curriculum at KS1/KS2 in English and History.

Meet the author, enjoy a short talk and browse various books over a glass of wine and small plates at Park's Edge.
