Momentum
is growing behind the counter demonstration this Saturday, 13 October, to oppose the racist Democratic Football Lads Alliance (DFLA), who have organised a demonstration for bigots and Islamophobes in London.
The wide range of speakers reflects the breadth of feeling for a united response in our opposition to the far right out on our streets, and also the depth of anger that these
racists and fascist forces are seeking to sow division and hate. In contrast to his live streaming at a recent Leeds court case which led to his appearance at the Old Bailey, Robinson has nothing to say when it is a fellow far-right individual found guilty
of these appalling crimes. We say justice all for victims of abuse, don't let the racists divide us.
Like the maginificent mobilisation against Trump's visit, it highlights that we represent an anti-racist majority in society. While we face the dangers of a growing far right
with fascists operating within this emergent street movement, we must fight to assert, defend and celebrate the multiculturalism, diversity and unity that lies at the heart of our society. And we must mobilise that force every time the racists or fascists
try to spread their message of hate.
"We in the trade union movement must step up too. We can stop the far right in its tracks by uniting working people... wherever the far right marches or tries to attack
Mosques and Synagogues, the trade union movement will be there, defending the places we live and work... like the heroes of Cable Street, we stand firm with the message: you will not pass"
Unions are actively building Saturday's demonstration, with coaches and delegations joining. As support spreads, as well as this a number of Blocs are being announced
in support of the mobilisation against thr DFLA:
Owen Jones has announced a Bloc on the demonstration HERE
London Young Labour have announced a Bloc
