BFI alumni Jane Giles makes a welcome return to the library this month with her recently published book Scala Cinema 1978-1993 (FAB Press). Giles is the one-time programmer of London's most influential and notorious repertory venue, with its heady mix of Hollywood classics and cult movies, live gigs and club nights. She'll reveal how she researched the book, and the uncanny parallels between the history of The Scala and that of the BFI itself.
Also, coming soon, The Many Lives of Jane Fonda, Monday 12 November 2018 18:30

All best
Sarah
