Dear List,

Apologies for asking a question that has probably been asked many times before but I need a bit of technical information. I need to digitise a VHS tape and while it could be done in-house I am concerned that the VHS tape might break during playback. Can such tapes easily be repaired or is it a specialist job? Can anyone recommend a digitisation company in the London area that knows how to salvage a tape if things go wrong?
