The only networks I'm really aware of are for all galleries and museums, not just for archives/special collections. She could try:

https://subjectspecialistnetworks.org.uk/find-an-ssn/understanding-british-portraits/

https://subjectspecialistnetworks.org.uk/find-an-ssn/british-art-network/

https://subjectspecialistnetworks.org.uk/find-an-ssn/european-paintings-pre-1900/

http://www.contemporaryartsociety.org/about/

I'm sure all would be happy to include archive collections.

Martin

Subject: Visual Arts Collections Groups

Does any one know if there is a formal or informal group for archives/special collections which hold collections related to visual arts?

I know of the Association of Performance Arts Collections, but is there a similar organisation/group specifically for visual arts collections? I'm working in an archive in an small art gallery & my employers wanted to know if there is a group we could join to make connections with other repositories with similar collections.
