An opportunity to join an established team of statisticians working on clinical trials in the King's Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU) working on the portfolio of studies led by Professor Richard Emsley. The post will involve working with clinicians and other researchers planning, conducting, analysing and reporting clinical trials and other studies in mental health and neuroscience. You will be expected to make a substantial contribution to project reports, primary and secondary publications, and opportunity is provided to contribute to additional methodological publications. In addition, the post holder may make a modest contribution to the teaching programme and service support of the Biostatistics and Health Informatics Department and Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.

The successful candidate will have a formal qualification in statistics or a discipline with a substantial statistical content. Familiarity with statistical software packages such as STATA and/or R is essential as is competence in standard medical statistics for clinical trials. The successful candidate will be motivated and self-disciplined, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This full time post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years. The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.

Grade and Salary: Grade 6, £37,412 to £44,015 per annum
