Dear all, Applications are invited for the post of a Health Economist/Analyst based in the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health/Barts Institute for Population Health Sciences, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Whitechapel, London. The post is offered for 2.5 years in the first instance at QMUL grade 5 or 6 depending on qualifications and experience (starting salary of £37,411 to £51,899 p.a. inclusive of London allowance). We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic researcher to join our growing health economics team. A higher degree in economics, statistics or other relevant quantitative subject; strong quantitative skills (statistics/ econometrics/decision modelling/ epidemiology) and ability to work efficiently with (complex) data are essential. You will join a friendly, cooperative and supportive team with excellent opportunities to develop high quality evaluative health research and advance your career. Current research portfolio includes studies of impact of diseases and interventions on morbidity, mortality, health-related quality of life and healthcare costs; development of disease models to evaluate long-term impacts of diseases and interventions, and cost-effectiveness analyses of healthcare interventions and policies. Key areas include mental health, surgery, respiratory health, gastrointestinal and metabolic conditions. The closing date for applications is 2 November 2018.
