Subject: Guardian Obituary of Rebecca Posner

An Obituary of Rebecca Posner has appeared in the on-line version of The Guardian, at the link below:

https://www.theguardian.com/education/2018/oct/08/rebecca-posner-obituary

(The piece can’t be reproduced here, due to copyright.)

It’s written by her friend and close collaborator, John Green, who has also contributed a more detailed obituary to Romance Philology, due to appear in spring 2019.

I was privileged to be taught by Rebecca Posner at the University of York in the 1970s, shortly before she moved to Oxford.
