This is a wonderful opportunity to hear Shami talk about her new book 'Of Women' which discusses why women still need equality and how we get there. Shami and Dianne will be in conversation discussing their experiences as women of colour in politics. There will be room for members of the audience to ask questions about the various challenges women face in politics and other professional roles. The event aims to bring together staff and students from UEL and other universities as well as people from the local community to discuss and debate these important issues. There will be light refreshments, reception and networking before and after the event. ‘Of Women’ will also be on display and available for anyone in attendance to purchase.
