Dear colleagues,

we are currently accepting applications for a 1-2 year researcher position financed by the ERA-net Neuron project TAI-MRI grant (https://www.neuron-eranet.eu/_media/TAI-MRI.pdf).

Further extension of the position is possible with other available funding.

The focus of the research is on diffusion MRI in combination with other MRI sequences to develop an improved method for classification of traumatic axonal injury (TAI) (also referred to as diffuse axonal injury). The end goal is to develop a new and improved clinical TAI classification method and models for better predicting long-term outcome in all severities of TBI.

Prospective MRI at 3T and clinical data across the first  year after injury have been collected.

The methods and models developed in the Trondheim data set will be tested in similar data collected in Cambridge (Professor David Menon's group) and in the H2020 Center TBI data.

We are looking for candidates with a PhD degree in diffusion weighted MRI, preferably in the human brain.

The successful candidate will join Trondheim fMRI group and Trondheim traumatic brain injury (TBI) group, Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim campus, Norway.

Depending on qualifications and academic background, Researcher will be remunerated at a minimum of NOK 515 200 per year before tax and the 2% deduction for the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
