That’s a very interesting question – we have been preparing data reuse case studies for Jisc in 2017:

I think case study 21 may be a suitable example of interdisciplinary data re-use: it discusses the impact of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility, which led to articles in a wide range of fields including climate change, the spread
of pests and diseases and priority areas for conservation and food security.
I’m sure there may be something else of interest in this (long) document!

Subject: Cross-disciplinary data re-use cases?
Dear List,
I am writing to ask for help / do some brain-sourcing. Do you happen to know of any cross-disciplinary data re-use case studies? I know of a lot of re-use cases within disciplines, but I struggle to find good examples of data re-use between
different disciplines.
I would be extremely grateful for your suggestions and in return happy to put all the nice case studies into a blog post + share with the list afterwards.
