Hi Anita and everyone

Just to let you know, we have another science communication event at the festival straight after Anita's – a talk by the very eminent John Durant, called 'Changing the face of science engagement'. This is followed by a drinks reception for everyone attending the event.

Details here: https://www.britishsciencefestival.org/event/changing-the-face-of-science-engagement/

So that's two for the price of one (free), and a free drink!

Best wishes

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Finding truth - next week at the BSF

As many of you know this year's British Science Festival<https://www.britishsciencefestival.org/> is taking place in Hull from Tuesday to Friday next week. On the last afternoon, a panel discussion I'm organising with the absw<https://www.absw.org.uk/> will take on post-truth - asking if scientific evidence is enough for people and society to decipher what's true and make sound decisions.

Details and registration here: https://www.britishsciencefestival.org/event/finding-truth-is-science-enough/

Hope you'll consider coming along if you're within striking distance - tickets are free!

On the panel are three academics with thought-provoking views on science communication: Erinma Ochu from Salford University, Jack Stilgoe from UCL and Jane Gregory from Cambridge University. Moderated by freelance writer Andy Extance.

Feel free to share with others who might be interested.

Hope to see you there!

Anita
