Hi Emily,

I put some information together on journal metrics for an Early Career Researchers meeting at IASSIDD this year.

Some of it comes from Richard Hastings' really helpful annual account of ID journals' impact factors.

I have added the source normalised metrics that come from Scimago (https://www.scimagojr.com/) and CWTS Indicators (SNIP http://www.journalindicators.com/indicators) and put Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders onto the list.

Hi Emily

It's a good journal that is very focused on basic science with a heavy slant towards biology and aetiology. I think this might account for it's limited appeal to those working with generic concepts of 'learning disabilities' and a more behaviourist or social constructionist view of things.

Cheers

Hi Richard, and others

Does anyone have any views on Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders? https://jneurodevdisorders.biomedcentral.com/

It lists a 3.50 impact factor, but I don't see many people in my field publishing in it. I'm aware that, with acception of the Autism journals, there aren't many high impact specialist ID journals.

Thanks

Emily

I've just listed the 2017 IFs this year and for pretty much all the journals I could find that have primarily an ID and/or autism focus. Not a lot of movement compared to last year's values. Enjoy!
