First, the "german-studies" list turns 20 today! When I set up the list at Mailbase in September 1998 I was hoping that it would catch on, so I'm thrilled that it has grown to over 1500 subscribers by now. Second, this strikes me as an appropriate point to bow out as list owner. For the last couple of years Anna Saunders (Bangor) has been running the list with me, and she's now being joined by Seán Williams (Sheffield). I'm delighted to be handing over to such capable and committed colleagues. You can contact both via the list's administration address [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Thanks, everyone, for helping to make the list such a valuable resource over the years. I shan't be leaving altogether: I'll be staying on as a regular subscriber, and as the list enters its third decade I look forward to hearing many more announcements and discussions.
