Dear Sally

The Vintage Carriages Trust offers a template for a gas mask box here: http://www.vintagecarriagestrust.org/images/mask_template.gif <http://www.vintagecarriagestrust.org/images/mask_template.gif>, which requires a pice of card A2 (594 x 420 mm).

This gives a one-piece net which folds up to make the box with glue tabs at the corners. If you’ve only got smaller bits of card then you need to make the box by cutting out separate pieces and joining them together. This is both tedious, harder to do than the proper method, and its also not authentic.

Hope this helps

All the best
