Postdoctoral position
Digital Technologies, Neuroimaging & Machine Learning
at Forschungszentrum Jülich & HHU Düsseldorf
A postdoctoral position is available initially for 2 years with long-term option at the newly founded research group “Biomarker Development” at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine Brain
and Behaviour (INM-7).
The focus of the position is on development of a novel digital biomarker platform to allow synergistic collection and analysis of sensor-based (i.e smartphone and smartwatch) but also
neuroimaging and clinical data to identify novel biomarkers across neurological and psychiatric indications. The postdoctoral researcher will thereby implement her/his own research using on one side existing large public datasets covering the above modalities
but also implement collection of novel data from the respective clinical populations in collaboration with local University Hospitals. As related to her/his project, the postdoctoral researcher will be also closely involved in supervision of Bachelor, Master
and PhD students and have the possibility to contribute to teaching.
Requirements:
· PhD in Neuroscience,
Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
· Strong experience
with programming languages such as Python, Matlab and R
· Strong statistical
knowledge and ideally solid experience with Machine Learning Application
· Experience
in app development for Android or iOS is highly desired
· Experience
with database setup and maintenance is highly desired
· Experience
with processing and analyses of neuroimaging data is a plus
