Sorry, ignore my previous advice - I was reading an out of date solution. 

An up to date version of xming, appropriately configured, should work. There are various sets of instructions on the internet, e.g.:

Since the invention of FSLeyes I've not been able to use it but I was using fslview_deprecated fine till this morning that it stopped.

I can see the logo of the fslview for a second but it disappears and I can't figure out what's happening.

Anyone else had this problem before?
