The School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Brighton is looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of external examiner for our MSc User Experience Design (UXD) course.

To summarise the course, the MSc UXD has been running for over 10 years and enjoys great success in preparing its graduates with the essential vocational skills to work in the UX industry. Further, the course
plays a pivotal role as an interface between our students, the local and wider UX community and contributions to research. The course constitutes the following core modules:
- Interaction Design and Evaluation Process
- Interface and Information Design
- Research Methods
- Major Project
The course also offers three optional modules from the following:
- Design Thinking
- The Business and Information System
- Web Development
- Independent Portfolio Project
- Independent Research Project
As external examiner you will be responsible for overseeing the above modules with the exception of the Business and Information Systems module. Ensuring that the assessment process
is sound and that it has been fairly conducted, you will be reporting and advising on the aforementioned by means of approving coursework, examination papers and producing an annual report to the School. In doing so, you will also be expected to attend several
examination boards each year. An important aspect of the role will be to familiarise yourself with the University of Brighton's current General Examination and Assessment Regulations.
