Sponsor of the Award for Safeguarding the Digital Legacy, John Sheridan of The National Archives (UK) said, ‘this award embodies the very essence of digital preservation. All three finalists have challenged threats to our digital estate and are saving important digital collections which might otherwise have been lost.’
Before the judges decide on the winners, members of the Digital Preservation Coalition will be invited to cast their vote on each category once all the finalists have been announced. Members will be asked to select their first and second choices for each category and are asked to provide feedback to the finalists. Each Full Member, Associate and Allied Organisation of the DPC may submit one vote.
Member votes will open on Monday 10th September
Finalists will then wait until the prestigious Digital Preservation Awards ceremony at the Amsterdam Museum where winners will be announced in front of their own digital preservation community, friends, family and peers from leading organisations on World Digital Preservation Day.
The Digital Preservation Awards is supported by some of the leading organizations in digital preservation.
