Lectureship in Geographical Information Science (Human Geography) School of the Human Environment Permanent Whole Time Post The Department of Geography, University College Cork, IRELAND, wishes to appoint a lecturer in Geographical Information Science (Human Geography) to complement and strengthen the Department’s existing research and teaching interests. The departmental Geoinformatics research cluster is particularly active in the domains of satellite Earth Observation, GIS, ecological modelling and cartography, and has close ties with other research groups within UCC including MaREI, the Environmental Research Institute and the Department of Archaeology. Taught Masters courses in GIS and Remote Sensing, and Coastal and Marine Management are key programmes within the Department in which the Geoinformatics staff participate. The successful candidate for this lectureship will contribute to GIS teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in both face-to-face and online formats. In addition, the appointee will be expected to contribute to ongoing development of the BA/BSc and MA/MSc programmes within the Geography Department.
