Not a direct answer to your question, but the instructor could use the course files area to create a zip file of all the files within the course and then share that with students, see http://elearn.southampton.ac.uk/blackboard/cfoverview/ The downside of this is it would include any hidden files that were on the course but not available to students - the instructor may not wish to share those files. Additionally it will only capture files loaded into course content areas, so free text items etc. made in the text editor would not be included.
