About the role
Restore
plc is currently recruiting for an Archive Centre Operative to join a small
team working on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office at Hanslope Park
near Milton Keynes.
The
project is in support of compliance with the Public Records Act in relation to
the release of records to The National Archives (TNA). Specific volume and
accuracy targets must be met.
The
position will give the successful candidate experience of working for a prestigious
and high-profile organisation. It is an unqualified position, with the
possibility of eventual promotion to a qualified role for a suitable candidate.
It will be an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to obtain experience
before taking archive qualifications or following an archives course by
distance learning.
The
position is on a four-year fixed-term contract with a rolling yearly renewal until
31 August 2022.

The
successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting to DV level,
a process which can take up to 6 months.
It
is desirable for the successful candidate to have their own transport as the site
is not served by public transport. Free parking is available on site.
Hours: The working week is 37.5
hours. The working day is 08:00-16:00, with 30 minutes for lunch.
Salary: £20,224 p.a. An annual
discretionary bonus of £1,500, is payable at the end of each year of the
contract.
