Please be aware that De Montfort University are advertising for an Associate Professor in Photography and Video to lead the subject area:

 

The School of Visual and Performing Arts wishes to appoint an Associate Professor to play a key role in the development of the subject area and to have a strategic overview of all activities aligned to Photography and Video. The BA Photography and Video (PHVP) degree at De Montfort University is characterised by engagement with a range of contemporary artistic and commercial practices for both the still and moving image. Students develop technical ability through workshops, in our new state-of-the-art facilities. Academic research skills are taught alongside the practical and creative elements of the programme.

 

Role

You will be an externally-recognised scholar of excellence, responsible for the innovative development and management of teaching and learning activities, influencing and contributing to the pedagogy of the subject. The Associate Professor is a key leadership role within the university’s academic community, acting as a line manager for the PHVP staff team and coordinating all related activities and initiatives.
