Dear Zooarchs, I'm currently working on a report dealing with a small faunal assemblage dated to the Othmanic period in central Israel. At the site, the excavators found a complete yang rooster placed in a jug and buried. I haven't found any references or mentions of this sort of find. If any of you ever encountered one I will appreciate hearing about it.
