Dear Walking Artists,

From September 13th - 18th I will be in New York with my Perambulator Project taking part in the Saunter, Trek, Escort, Parade (STEP) show at Flux Factory. I'm showing a series of photographs made in Scotland as part of my residency with Deveron Project's Walking Institute in 2014. I will be leading a Perambulator Walk around the Long Island City neighbourhood (15th Sep), and giving an artists talk for Flux Thursday (13th Sep).

All are welcome on the walk (with or without prams/strollers) but please book in here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/perambulator-by-clare-qualmann-tickets-48974023623

I'm also planning to make a new series of photographs of the pram (stroller) in the city to act as a counterpoint to the Scottish images. They were made to record the limits of accessibility for the pram in the countryside around the town of Huntly, while the New York City images will document the limits of accessibility in an urban environment.

more info on the STEP show (which of course is full of walks!) here: http://www.fluxfactory.org/event/step/

It would be great to connect with walking people while I'm there, so drop me a line off list if you would like to meet/walk/talk.

All best,

Clare
