Hi,

Using companies based outside the EU is tricky, they say it’s all fine, fine, fine but companies like Mailchimp and Eventbrite have their servers in the US and so by using them you are exporting info outside the EU.

Mailchimp and Eventbrite says its ok but not understanding all the ins and outs I can very much understand organisations slapping blanket bans on them.

Thanks,

Jamie

Likewise. We’ve just been told we can no longer use MailChimp – has anyone else come across this?

I am getting so many different messages from our partners about what cloud based systems they can and cannot use as a result of GDPR.  Does anyone have any advice or suggestions, handbooks or suggestions of  trainers who can talk us through a variety of systems – Sharepoint, Google Drive, Dropbox and how to use them effectively.  Ideally something common sense and without loads of jargon.

Thanks in advance.
