The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Eastern Illinois University invites applicants for 1-2 tenure track assistant professor positions starting in August 2019. Applicants must have expertise in Analytical, Biochemistry, or Physical
chemistry. A Ph.D in chemistry or a closely related field is required, with post-doctoral experience preferred.
Teaching duties will include undergraduate and graduate (MS) courses in the area(s) of expertise, as well as general chemistry/general education courses. Establishment of an active externally funded research program with undergraduate and MS students and participation in department and university service activities are expected. Teaching may include traditional, hybrid, and/or online modes of delivery/instruction. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
