Dear Colleagues,
We are seeking an experienced Development and Systems Manager to lead and develop this growing service which significantly contributes to the delivery of Library and University Collections Services ensuring that all collections are accessible
online. It also delivers a shared repository service for six Scottish Universities.
The service is undergoing a transition from two separate teams delivering library systems and digital development to one integrated team.
This role will give an experienced manager the opportunity to shape and build a team delivering a range of services including shared repository services, long term accessibility of research and other data (digital preservation), working
with internationally significant collections to make these accessible online. There is also an exciting opportunity to support digital scholarship through the development of new tools and services within the Digital Library.
You will manage 6+ staff and be expected to set targets, monitor progress and oversee multiple projects. Your management skills will ensure that you have a motivated and effective team, your mentoring and coaching skill will provide your
team with good support and your knowledge of development and management of systems and continuous improvement will ensure that the services the team are responsible for are delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The role is also likely to require
occasional national and international travel.
This post is offered on a full-time, open-ended basis.
