Apparently we transfer safeguarding files very rarely and always face to face.

Hope useful

Subject: [data-protection] Transferring Safeguarding Records

Hi all

In schools CPOMS (a software application) is used for the monitoring and management of safeguarding/child protection, pastoral and welfare issues, building a chronology around a student which can be pulled into reports or transferred to another school if needed.  Every member of staff can be given access to report concerns (without seeing information recorded) and the relevant people are immediately alerted to concerns.

I just wondered how other FE/HE institutions transfer safeguarding and child protection records to new institutions if necessary, especially for 14-16 and 16-18 provision?

Kind regards
