If you are involved or likely to be involved with dealing with arisings from road repairs etc you might want to take a look at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/excavated-waste-from-utilities-installation-and-repair-rps-211/excavated-waste-from-utilities-installation-and-repair-rps-211 This states that “This RPS will be withdrawn on 31 January 2019” and “You must not:

 

• generate more than 10 cubic metres of waste at the excavation site
• treat or use the waste under an exemption
