Dear Erica,
Any chance that the top fragsments could be Brassica cf raphanistrum pods?
Good luck!

Subject: Identification help
Dear all,
The two types of carbonized remains in the attached photo are from a late Roman context in Turkey. The top ones look like some sort of carbonized leaf and the second appears to be a type of bud? Any identification help would be greatly appreciated!
Best wishes,
Erica
