Dear Kelly,

I would also suggest it is wild pear. I have several hundreds from a 6th century early byzantine city in southern Serbia. Attached a picture of mine for reference. If you need more details or information, just tell me!

Best regards,

Anna

Betreff: Whole carbonised fig?

Dear All,

I believe I have a whole carbonised fig from a roman context in Croatia, but I'm not 100% sure. It looks like a fresh rather than dried fig that became charred. I've attached some images (its about 2 cm across) and would appreciate your views!

Many thanks for your help

Kelly
